MARKET REPORT - DECATUR LIVESTOCK MARKET
Consignments
from March 19, 2007, from 195 sellers were 1055
head including: 28 Bulls, 250 Cows, 64 Calves, 272 Stocker Heifers,
269 Stocker Bulls/Steers, 81 Feeder Heifers, 91 Feeder Bulls/Steers. Average prices = $ 553. Last week = $ 541. A year ago = $ 569. 3-5 weight calves were $5.50/cwt higher on
average. 6-8 weights were $2
higher. The recent and forecasted rain
adds some optimism to the market. Bred
cows and pairs $30 - $40 higher. Packer
prices $3 higher on average. Results
