head including: 22 Bulls, 179 Cows, 41 Calves, 63 Longhorns, 216
Stocker Heifers, 235 Stocker Bulls/Steers, 93 Feeder Heifers, 108 Feeder
Bulls/Steers. Average
prices = $ 467. Last sale =
$ 482. A year ago = $
541. Very inconsistent quality with not
much demand for anything but #1 and #1 ½ quality. These calves sold steady to $1 higher – just not many of
them. The cost of grain, fuel and fertilizer
hangs over the market like a dark cloud.
